Autumn term 2

Autumn term 2 was jam packed!

We started the term off with Children in Need, which year 5/6 were heavily involved in - setting up and running the days activities; we had our termly assessment week; the whole school visited the church for our Christingle; Sennen class were lucky enough to have Emma in to make homemade Christmas decorations with us; we had a recycled Christmas tree hunt on St Michaels Mount; and finished it all off with our Christmas production of 'The Little Match Girl'!

Wow! It really was a busy term...
Sennen class were instrumental in making Children in Need special for all the school, setting up the hall, helping younger children and even being the goalkeepers in the penalty shoot out! Big thanks to Saoirse, Jack, Vinny and Jago.
Our trip to St Michaels Mount, although blustery, was very much enjoyed by all. We hunted down the home made, recycled Christmas trees and then enjoyed a hot chocolate to finish off the trip. Thanks for having us!
Our whole school visited the chapel in December to celebrate the Christingle. We created our own Christingles at school and learnt our Christingle song and Reverent Ralph led our service with the help from Jack.
To get us in the festive mood, Jenson's mum (Emma) came into school and taught us how to create decorative Christmas ornaments! We used different wrapping paper to make our designs.
Our final big push of the year was for our production. And wow - the children pulled out some incredible performances! We had some stunning acting, brilliant narration, last minute stand ins and a few super, solo singers!! We couldn't have been prouder of this wonderful group of children!
